{Integration of the K- & V-Matrix systems in companies}
The K- &V-Matrix system can be used in companies as a configuration-tool. Therefore the following aspects should be taken in account:

• The product data used in the K- &V-Matrix is often available in other systems (the product describing data for example is saved within SML of a PLM-system)
• The job processing is in the most cases handled within a ERP-system.

These two aspects make clear, that the isolated usage of a configuration-tool makes no sense, if there are PLM- or ERP-systems. In the following, the integration of the K- & V-Matrix into a typical system architecture of a company is described. 
The (sales relevant) product data, which are generated with the K- &V-Matrix, are completing the technical data in a PLM-system. The product data, in the sense of the digital product, is transmitted to the K- &V-Matrix. Thus, the double acquisition of the data is avoided. The product describing data is completed with information about the compatibility with the help of the input-tool (see K- &V-Matrix system), these information are normally not available in PLM-systems.
Afterwards it is possible to verify the product data in the K- &V-Matrix and to generate configurations. After the configuration the result is listed in a generic XLM-file. These data can be implemented into an ERP-system and an application can be started. It is easy to integrate a configuration-system into an existing system architecture of a company in this manner, whereby the controlling redundance of the data anticipates a double input and advances the data quality.
